Todd Howard, the Bethesda Game Studios director and creative leader behind the forthcoming Fallout 76, bluntly called out Sony when a German publication asked why that game wouldn’t support cross platform play. Fallout 76 is an online-only multiplayer game launching in November for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Microsoft, more two years ago, opened up the Xbox One platform to cross-console play beginning with Rocket League, while Sony held firm that the PlayStation 4 would not particip

At the very least, the players at the top of the ramp did get to see the missile launch and most of the subsequent explosio

The countdown is over, and a mass of Fortnite players had gathered near the rocket to see what was about to happen. But it looked as if the rocket broke apart after launch, and then a portion fell back down, firing a laser at the ground. Another rocket then appeared through a portal that seemed to have been opened by the first rocket, flew around for a bit, before it too disappeared. And then another rocket appeared from a portal, flew straight up and opened what seems to be some kind of rift in

Steam Spy, the API-scraping website that measured a game’s ownership across the PC platform’s installation base, was gutted in April after Valve adjusted its user privacy settings, obscuring a lot of the data Steam Spy relied upon. Valve now says that it is working on a new set of tools that will deliver the same kind of information to developers as Steam Spy once did, but more accurately and more immediately. Ewert said Steam Spy “had a broad variance in how accurate it was. Steam Spy was model

Sicario: Day of the Soldado, out now in the U.S., finds both Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin reprising their roles from the first film. In Day of the Soldado, del Toro’s tortured lawyer-turned-government hitman Alejandro once again partners up with Brolin’s Department of Justice agent Matt. From my perspective, the first Sicario film displays a sort of nihilistic view of the drug war and cartels, and the United States-Mexican relations. Sollima: I think that the beginning, the terrorist part, I

Depending on the type of player you are, the Sims games can be used for many different things. For me, The Sims games — specifically The Sims 2 — are a fantastic way to tell stories. The Sims 2 expanded upon the world of the original Sims, skipping forward in time 25 years and adding two more neighborhoods. In The Sims 2, one of the big overarching stories in Pleasantview (the updated name of the original Sims neighborhood) is Bella Goth’s disappearance. These original Sims stories are like fan

For a lot of players, that hasn’t been the case since late last week, however; Friends are finding that their friendship levels are out of sync. It’s great that Poké
