The Nintendo Switch, the latest console by the Japanese company released earlier this year in all regions, has managed to become quite successful in just a few months, but things will eventually slow down if Nintendo cannot keep up the momentum with the release of major titles. While first party titles will be releasing throughout the year at a steady pace, the same cannot be said about big third party releases, and it seems like Nintendo wants to change this as quickly as possible. In a new rep

Outlast 2: Newest Patch Fixes Difficulty IssuesOutlast 2, a game that inspires terror in any player’s heart, is getting a tweaking. The developers have released the patch notes on Steam, outlining that while Outlast 2 has been a commercial success all around that they have been paying attention to feedback from gamers everywhere. Admittedly the patch notes don’t tell you ‘how’ your encounters were tweaked, but rather just states that it was a “global rebalancing of the game difficulty”. Other sm

Matt Sternberg, May 9, 2017Here’s something that’s becoming a recurring theme of the year: I’ve never played a Persona game before. Though I may never have played a mainline Persona game, I am more than familiar with the Shin Megami Tensei series that it was borne from. Hell, just last year, I spent almost a couple hundred more between the incredible SMT IV: Apocalypse and the surprisingly excellent Fire Emblem crossover, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE – which was just as much a Persona game as the m

Hyper Sentinel, the retro shooter that’s a bit like Commodore 64 classic Uridium, is coming to Nintendo Switch as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this summer. Hyper Sentinel is from indie developer Jonathan Port and is published by Huey Games. Huey Games appears to be the new name for the revived Hewson Consultants, which I reported on in June 2016. Back to Hyper Sentinel, it’s a 60 frames per second arcade shooter with pixel-art graphics. There are online leaderboards, three diffic

Ninja Theory created a cast of interesting characters, and an equally fresh assortment of areas for the action to take place in. Fast forward a few years, and it seems that at least Ninja Theory has found themselves in a better place. Ninja Theory has a small team on a tiny budget, pouring their hearts and souls into Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. If Ninja Theory doesn’t have solid gameplay or an interesting hook to back it up, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be a tragic waste of effort. To thi
