AT&T is asking HBO to think about ways to produce more shows and increase engagement to compete with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and other streaming services. AT&T announced its intention to acquire Time Warner, HBO’s parent company, in October 2016, but officially got approval for the merger in June 2018. Netflix subscribers watch 140 million hours of content a day. “I’ve said, ‘More is not better, only better is better,’ because that was the hand we had,” Pleper said to Stankey. “I want more hours o

WarioWare Gold for Nintendo 3DS marks the charming and strange WarioWare series’ return after a five-year hiatus. Wario says much more than “wah!” in WarioWare Gold, an off-putting aural experience we neither want nor deserve. The tweet above was culled from GameXplain’s footage of the WarioWare Gold demo, which you can watch in full below. The good news is that there’s a feature in WarioWare Gold that allows you to dub over the cutscenes yourself, according to the game’s digital manual. If Wari

Epic Games has released its first official tease of Fortnite Season 5 and confirmed a few things we already knew. In a tweet on Monday morning, the company stated that the newest Fortnite season was just three days away. While the July 12 release date was previously announced, it’s nice to have it confirmed since Epic can sometimes be a little late on their release — looking at you Playground Mode. While it’s difficult to say what this might mean for Fortnite Season 5, it does seem to be the fir

But, according to the team over at Naughty Dog, there’s one injury that he’s never had — a bullet wound. Yes, there’s a red indicator at times when Drake starts taking accurate fire, but it’s not a damage indicator. Sidenote I learned on joining the team: Drake doesn’t ever take bullet damage. https://t.co/byzVKYXVe7 — Jonathan Cooper (@GameAnim) July 8, 2018It’s astonishing that, given the thousands or rounds of ammunition sent his way over the course of four video games, he’s never been hit by

Each week, players would open their milestones tab and complete a list of activities before logging off for the week. With Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie aims to change that up a bit and return to the more replayable ways of Destiny. In Game Informer’s August cover story for Destiny 2: Forsaken, game directors Steve Cotton and Scott Taylor spoke a bit about returning to the hobby of Destiny. But for players who never want to stop playing Destiny 2, the game will now offer more frequent resets. Dest

When you get enough board game nerds together in the same room, they eventually begin trying to one-up each other. One that invariably gets mentioned is called Waldschattenspiel, a German board game played in the dark with a tea candle. Thanks to a new addition by Thinkfun Games called Shadows in the Forest, it’s back … and it’s a lot less flammable. The dwarves are replaced with creatures called Shadowlings, which are adorable given their vaguely Totoro-shaped bodies. I can’t remember the las

Ant-Man and the Wasp is looking at an opening weekend in the $80 million range for North America beating expectations for the franchise and giving Disney another enviable moneymaker as the summer movie season chugs on. The $80 to $83 million projected isn’t a record-breaking number, but it is more than $20 million over what Ant-Man pulled in its 2015 debut weekend ($57.2 million). So it was really, really fun. I feel ownership over the first movie; I came into that movie really quickly, but I’ve come to other movies quickly, before. We started the movie with those guys, broke the story, then started evolving the story. Paul Rudd obviously was involved with them in writing and that felt like a nice natural progression from the first movie. Ant-Man and The Wasp is the first movie I’ve seen that represents the Mexican-American love for Morrissey on screen.
